Truth About Death & Heaven

It's Simple:
Death = Sleep!
What Does the Bible Say About Death?
According to the Bible, the only people in Heaven right now are Moses, Elijah, Enoch and a "first fruits offering" that went up to Heaven during the earthquake that happened when Jesus died on the cross. The Bible is very clear that everyone else who has passed away during earth's history is in a state of "sleep."

In Genesis, the book describes the creation of man as a simple equation: Dust of the Earth + The Breath of Life = a Living Soul. Later on, it is explained that when we die, the Breath of Life returns back to God, and our Dust returns to the Earth. Logically, this simple equation for a living soul to exist is rendered incomplete upon death.

Jesus says he will come again, at which point all those who died "in Christ" will be resurrected, given new heavenly bodies, and joined up to Him in Heaven, followed by those who are still living who are in Christ.

Truth About Heaven

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:4 KJV
